FAQ

  • Do I need to bring supplies for class?

We have all the basic tools here at the studio. However, many students opt to bring their own personal tools.

  • I've never done pottery before, what class should I take?
  • You should start with Intro to Throwing, but we can accomodate your needs in beginner/intermediate courses as well.

  • Do I need an apron?
  • Pottery is a messy sport! Aprons can help keep your clothes clean (to an extent) so they are recommended. If you don't have one, there are some available at the studio.

  • Do I get to keep what I make?
  • Yes! What you make is all yours.

  • What color glazes are available?
  • The studio glazes currently include raspberry mist, norse blue, variegated blue, green apple, and clear dipping glazes. There are also a variety of rotating brush-on glazes. You can also purchase your own glazes from the studio shop!

  • What if I don't like the wheel?
  • You can retire yourself from the wheel and focus on handbuilding in any course! You'll still get instruction.

All courses are for adults unless otherwise specified. If you want your minor child to take a course you can choose to take it with them or contact staff for other options.
