Do I need to bring supplies for class?

We have all the basic tools here at the studio. However, many students opt to bring their own personal tools. 

 

I've never done pottery before, what class should I take?

• You should start with Intro to Throwing, but we can accomodate your needs in beginner/intermediate courses as well. 

 

Do I need an apron?

• Pottery is a messy sport! Aprons can help keep your clothes clean (to an extent) so they are recommended. If you don't have one, there are some available at the studio. 

 

Do I get to keep what I make?

• Yes! What you make is all yours.

 

What color glazes are available?

• There are a variety of rotating commercial brush-on glazes from Amaco, PSH, Spectrum, Mayco and Solar Glazes. You can also purchase your own glazes from the studio shop! Dip glazes are also available, speak with your teacher about the selection and options.

 

What if I don't like the wheel?

• You can retire yourself from the wheel and focus on handbuilding in any course! You'll still get instruction.
  

Make-up classes:

• Make-up classes are allowed during your session to account for illness and emergencies. These sessions must be pre-approved by instructor and owner. Make-up sessions are only available during your session time period and you are limited to two per session for 8-week classes and one per session for 4-week or 6-week classes. 

End of course

All materials must be removed from your shelf on the last class to make room for next batch of incoming students. Items not removed become property of the studio unless otherwise discussed.

All courses are for adults unless otherwise specified. If you want your minor child to take a course you can choose to take it with them or contact staff for other options.
