Best Kind Mud Shop is a locally owned pottery shop and studio created by Lisa Batten. The aim of the studio is to create a safe, fun and inclusive space for people to explore the incredible (and addictive) art of ceramics.
We are currently undergoing renovations and plan to open to the public in early 2025! Waitlists for open studio memberships will open in November 2024.
MEET THE TEAM
Owner: Lisa Batten
Lisa was born and raised in Newfoundland but now lives in Three Fathom Harbour with her husband and dogs. Lisa has a PhD in psychology and nearly 20 years of clinical research experience. None of this helps her throw, but it does create a pretty decent space for trauma dumping.
Head of Operations/Lead Pat Receiver: Reuben
Reuben has previously worked as a "psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy assistant dog" which primarily means he cuddled patients after they completed their therapies. He doesn't have any formal training in retail or otherwise, but is willing to do pretty much any task for a treat.
