There are Kanthal A-1 elements in the lid. The walls are 2.5" premium grade firebrick. The jacket and fittings are all corrosion resistant stainless steel. We use only quality components and expert craftsmanship to produce the best kilns available, and we've been doing it since 1982.

This kiln is available with the economical B3K quick set 3 button controller, the V6-CF Bartlett keypad or upgrade to the Wifi-enabled Genesis touch screen.

The Tuckers’ Cone Art model 1818D kiln is an excellent choice for the hobbyist or small elementary school program. It's double wall insulation ensures a safer, cooler jacket and approximately 30% energy savings over single wall kilns and our standard element in the floor helps to ensure even firings every time.

This is a double insulated kiln with a wall profile of 2.5” premium firebrick plus 1″ of block insulation. The floor and lid are constructed with 3″ firebrick and has an additional 1″ of block insulation.  The extra insulation ensures a cooler, safer jacket, longer element life, and approximately 30 % savings in electricity costs. The kiln is clad in a stainless-steel jacket for extra protection and durability.

There are heavy-duty A-1 elements in the walls and floor. This makes firing to cone 10 a breeze even with high mass loads.
