Mayco Elements Glaze - Cone 06-Cone 10

Cone 06 oxidation: Volcanic Glow is a glossy, dark grayish taupe glaze with a brown stain. It has large red crystals.

Cone 6 oxidation: Base glaze changes to brown/gold and breaks over texture; crystals melt and are red/blue. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

Cone 10 Reduction: Brown/gold

TIP: This glaze WILL move. Take care when using on vertical pieces reduce glaze thickness towards the bottom third to minimize run-off. This glaze will pinhole at three coats. Not overglaze compatible

Apply 2-3 coats, allowing surface to dry in-between coats. When applying to a large surface, we recommend a broad, soft fan brush. As movement and flowing are characteristics of this glaze, taper off toward the bottom of the ware to prevent glaze running of the piece onto kiln shelves.
